The Njörd is a luxury vacation rental located in Duluth’s central HART District, offering a blend of history and modern amenities for a comfortable and memorable stay.

The Njörd offers three unique units:

• Freya – Njord: A romantic and private one-bedroom unit with stunning views of Lake Superior. It features a kitchenette, living space, and an ensuite bathroom.
• Thor – Njord: A relaxing one-bedroom end unit with a full kitchen, living space, and spectacular lake views. It includes a king-size bedroom and a shared bathroom.
• Odin – Njord: A spacious two-bedroom unit with breathtaking views, an open floor plan, a chef’s kitchen, and multiple access points to the lake. It includes a primary bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and a second bedroom with a queen-size bed.

Key features include:

• Modern amenities like smart TVs, digital thermostats, and electronic entry keypads.

The cancellation policy is 30/7. Reservations are fully refundable more than 30 days from the reservation date. Within 30 to 7 days, 50% of the rental rate is refundable. Anything within 7 days of the reservation is non-refundable.

Do to the high-standard of our ammenities and rooms, we do not allow pets of any kind in The Njord.

The Njörd is located near fine restaurants, cafes, retail shops, parks, and Duluth’s famous Lake Walk trail and Canal Park. It’s also in the center of arts and entertainment with historic buildings, artisans, and theatres.

Yes, each unit at The Njörd has one assigned parking spot. Please contact the property manager for extra parking needs.

Yes, The Njörd provides close but “away from it all” accommodations for such events.

Absolutely, The Njörd is perfectly situated for both business and leisure stays, offering a unique and authentic Duluth experience.

Upon arrival, you will be welcomed with the latest information on nearby restaurants, shops, events, and attractions. You can also visit websites like Visit Duluth, Explore Minnesota, and Destination Duluth for up-to-date resources.

To ensure the highest possible quality of our units, we enforce a security deposit commensurate with each units needs. Our staff will charge this security deposit manually at a time after the booking is placed but before your stay occurs. This charge is fully refundable upon a post check-out inspection by our staff. If there are damages beyond normal wear and tear or theft of any kind (The Njord/The Intrepid) reserves the right to withhold any and charge beyond, if necessary, any cost of replacement associated with such event.

At the time of booking 25% of the full rental rate, cleaning fee and taxes shall be collected. 30 days from your reservation another 25% of the full rental rate, cleaning fee, and taxes shall be collected. 7-days before your reservation the remainder of your full rental rate, cleaning fee, and taxes shall be collected. Your security deposit shall be collected between the time of booking and your reservation and is up to the discretion of our staff as to when it is collected, we typically collect this deposit within 7 days of your booking.

In line with our payment policy our cancellation policy is as follows: 30 days from the date of your check in your reservation shall be 50% refundable. 7 days from the date of your check in your reservation shall be non-refundable. Anything more than 30 days from the date of your reservation shall be fully refundable. In line with industry standards, in the case of an “act of God” event it shall be up to the property manager’s discretion as to if your reservation shall be refundable. Our official policy is that if an externality has occurred that interferes with the access to our property then your reservation becomes fully refundable. Including if a MAJOR weather event takes place within a 10-mile radius of the property in question. This does not include a major event occurring at your point of origin. This also does not include a temporary planned shutdown of street access to the property such as a major planned event within a 10-mile radius of the property.

Regardless of which space you are renting, parties or other events of any
kind are strictly prohibited without the express written consent of the property manager on a property letterhead. Violation of this policy will result in the immediate expulsion from the property by way of trespass and forfeiture of the remainder of your rental rate, security deposit, any fees collected, and any other costs to replace any damages, and/or items damaged or missing as a result of the violation of this rule.

By booking at (The Njord/The Intrepid) you agree to the following: Out of caution, some, not all, of our exteriors are patrolled by motion-activated security cameras. (Intrepid
Specific: There also shall be security cameras in the common spaces of The Intrepid, including the following areas: Superior Street Lobby, elevator lobby, hallways, staff room, The Galley, and other corridors that are not the express private space of guests. The code created randomly for each reservation is also agreed upon by booking a unit at said property to not be shared with anyone other than those listed on the reservation. Violation of this policy will result in the immediate expulsion from the property by way of trespass and forfeiture of the remainder of
your rental rate, security deposit, any fees collected, and any other costs to replace any
damages, and/or items damaged or missing as a result of the violation of this rule.

Our goal is to give you the time you deserve to unwind. Although during the day if there are checkouts in units close to you may see our staff please do not hesitate to ask them for help, we will adhere to the same quiet hours that we as you adhere to. We will also not enter your space without your prior written permission during the duration of your stay, unless necessary for an emergency issue, unless an additional cleaning has been scheduled, payment of said service will constitute permission to enter the premises. Quiet hours are as follows: 10
P.M. to 8 A.M. Failure to keep these hours will be a violation of this policy and will result in the immediate expulsion with or without warning, from the property by way of trespass and forfeiture of the remainder of your rental rate, security deposit, any fees collected, and any other costs to replace any damages, and/or items damaged or missing as a result of the violation of this rule.

By booking a unit at (The Njord/The Intrepid) you agree to the above terms and conditions as well as the following. Any other policy written or unwritten according to the decision of the property manager shall be enforceable at any time by the property manager using their discretion.
