Named after the mythical Norse god of love, you will make the connection to the charm of this space the minute you step in. Awaken to sunrises and calm lakes and dramatic mesmerizing waves and ships on Lake Superior at Freya at The Njord. Enjoy this newly remodeled one-bedroom Freya unit in Duluth’s central HART District.

Check-in is 4 p.m. Check-out is 11 a.m.

THE COZIEST STAY IN DULUTH

The coziest property at The Njord, our Freya unit, with its breathtaking views and dream-like touches captures the Norse-inspired essence of the property and location. Built in 1933, history meets modern in this landmark boutique building that has been lovingly restored and remodeled with thoughtful attention to detail, including large windows, tall ceilings, luxury vinyl flooring, and comfortable, quiet flooring.

The 700-square-foot unit comprises of a quaint kitchenette and intimate living space with full views of Lake Superior as well as a statement electric fireplace. The spacious bedroom with double dresser and hooks also offers large views of the world’s largest freshwater lake. Reclaimed wood headboard –

The kitchen, with local Mesabi black granite counters, is appointed with the guest traveler in mind. A bar counter and three stools provide a view of the lake for relaxing mornings sipping coffee before the day begins and a gathering area at the end of the day for a cocktail and dinner. The efficient kitchen is completely equipped with new stainless-steel appliances and single-sink and open shelving for cookware and utensils. There is nothing you’ll be missing to make your stay comfortable. Leave those tools at home!

COMFORT ON THE LAKE

Freya’s lounging space is set up perfectly for views of the lake a swivel chair and a leather queen-sized sleeper sofa facing both the lake and a TV with the electric fireplace below. With the bedroom further off the living space, this bonus sleeping area is quiet and private for a couple or family member or friend.

The bedroom is appointed with a queen-sized bed with comfortable and quality mattress and bedding, a double dresser and hooks, and TV. With views facing the lake, the reclaimed wood behind the bed, creates a inviting sleeping nook in this space. A stackable washer and dryer are hidden away in a bedroom closet.

An ensuite bathroom with a roomy shower and glass door is arranged for comfortable use with fresh linens and organic EO products. While cozy and efficient, the unit is well-planned for a comfortable stay with useful furniture and fixtures like hooks and shelving.

A smart home, the space has modern amenities including smart TVs, digital thermostats and electronic entry keypads.

Freya at The Njord is nearby fine restaurants and cafes, local coffeehouses, retail shops, parks and Duluth’s famous Lake Walk trail and Canal Park – all accessible in minutes out the front door.
